Upon graduating from New York University with a degree in art and philosophy, Gillian began her writing career contributing to Art in America, Purple Magazine, V Magazine among others.
In 2013 she joined the features department at US Vogue and then moved to W Magazine where she worked as their Contributing Features Editor.
